Common name: Monterey Cypress
Description:  

Conifer with narrow conical habbit when young, base spreading out with age.

Upright, dense branching with a reddish-brown stem.

Leaves are evergreen, bright golden yellow. When rubbed, the leaves give off the smell of lemon.

Grows in all soils, though protect from the wind.

One of the best plants for topiary as it withstands hard pruning.

Reaches 6-8m tall and 2.5-3m wide. Very fast growing.

Plant care

Position: Position (Shelter):Full Sun to Partial Shade

Position (Soil Type):Any well drained soils
Feeding: Feeding in a border

Apply fertiliser at the manufacturers recommended rate during initial planting. Feed regularly during the first growing season to help the plant become established. After this, feed once per year in spring.
