Latin name: Nerium Oleander
Common name: Japanese Flower
Description:  

Evergreen shrub or small tree. bushy compact and rounded.

Leaves are lanceolate, leathery green, arranged on the brnach in groups of 3.

Roots are quite long, so for planting ina  pot, it must be deeper than it is wide. Usually grows in poor soil, but will do better in well drained fertile soil.

Flowers depend on the variety, but are very long lasting and fragrant, also, quite large.

Reaches 2-4m tall and 2-4m wide.

Position: Position (Shelter):Full Sun

Position (Soil Type):Any well drained soils
Feeding: Feeding in a border

Apply fertiliser at the manufacturers recommended rate during initial planting. Feed regularly during the first growing season to help the plant become established. After this, feed once per year in spring.

Feeding in pots for patio

Fertilise during initial planting at the manufacturers recommended rate, and thereafter twice per year in April and August.
